Weekend Away Beauty Must Haves

DSC04399.JPG

One of my favourite people in the whole world is getting married shortly and I couldn’t be happier or more honoured that she’s chosen me to spend the day with her as one of her bridesmaids. And as a bridesmaid, it means there’s no escaping the crazy that is a hen-do! So, as I was packing up for her weekend trip away, I thought my travel beauty must have’s would be a pretty interesting thing to write about. Packing for a weekend away is always a bit of a balancing act for me. On one hand I have to keep reminding myself it’s only for one night, but the other side of me see’s a ridiculous amount of beauty products as complete essentials. After narrowing the beauty products down to a minimum and surviving the weekend, I thought I’d share with you my absolute must haves!

Garnier Micellar Water

I can’t even begin to imagine how many times I’ve mentioned this glorious product here on my blog but it’s for a very good reason. This is amazing! It feels like water, it removes makeup easier than anything I’ve ever tried before, has no funny smells and leaves absolutely no residue on the skin.

Boots, Superdrug, Ulta

Batiste Dry Shampoo

Dry Shampoo is always a must for me. If I’m going anywhere overnight or even getting ready for a night out, I have to have this with me. Not only does it keep the greasy roots away but it adds this incredible volume to your hair. And as a bonus, it smells darn amazing!

Boots, Superdrug, Ulta

Neutrogena Oil-free Moisturiser

My skin is always incredibly dehydrated after a night out boozing on the town and so I have to reach for this moisturiser. It’s another product I’ve spoken about so much on my blog, but I have yet to find another moisturiser like this one. It’s thick and extremely moisturising, but melts into the skin so easily and contains no oils like other thick, heavy duty moisturisers do. If you have acne prone skin that regularly dehydrates, then this is the moisturiser you need in your life.

Boots, Superdrug, Amazon

Smashbox #ShapeMatter Palette

Since getting this palette it’s become my favourite makeup item I own. It’s has everything you need, plus a massive mirror, making this the perfect travel companion. It has two shades and a wax for your brows, a vanilla powder to set your under eyes, a bronzer, a contour powder and a glowy highlighter, plus 9 eyeshadows! You can literally create so many different looks using this palette! And being Smashbox, they’re amazing quality.

L’oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation

This foundation is another product I’ve constantly raved about here on my blog. It’s the perfect foundation for my skin type and just ticks all the boxes for me. It’s a full coverage foundation that does not budge the whole day! Like seriously, does NOT budge, which is why it’s on this list. If you’re going away or have a super long day and you want your foundation to last, this is the one for you!

Price – £7.99
Boots, Superdrug, Ulta, Target

Regenerate Toothpaste

Naturally toothpaste is a pretty basic essential and it feels a little weird to actually put this on the list. But since I include my teeth in my skincare routine at home I thought I’d may as well include it in this beauty round up. I love this toothpaste (again, a sentence I never thought I’d write on my blog). It regenerates enamel mineral with regular use, protects and strengthens against cavities, helps to restore original whiteness and gives you fresh mint sensation.

St. Moriz Fake Tan

Anyone who knows me will back me up when I say I will NOT get my limbs out unless I have a good coating of fake tan first. My legs are currently so white, they’re blinding to the eye. As it was a hen do weekend, naturally my fake tan had to come along with me. I love St. Moriz. It’s cheap as chips, blends into the skin really easily, has a little coverage when first applied and then develops over the next couple of hours. All-in-all it’s basically St. Tropez without the price tag.

  1. I love Batiste!! I own the one with the Coconut smell and it is amazing haha, my boyfriends hate the smell of coconut so I always annoy him to spray extra onto my hair ;p by far the best dry shampoo!!
