A postcard from London…

lamington

Recently I made a little trip up to London for a blogger event. You can read all about that here. We had one full day free and staying in a hostel just a short walk away from the Tower of London, we decided to spend the day walking around the historical buildings. It was amazing to soak in the atmosphere of one of the most historically important locations in the UK. I love history and being surrounded by buildings and jewels dating all the way back to 1066 makes me so happy!

What doesn’t make me happy was the seven GIANT Ravens they keep on the grounds! Legend says the Kingdom and Towers will fall if the six ravens leave the tower, so they keep SEVEN Ravens around just incase. Now I love legends and keeping things like this alive but as someone who is terrified and I mean TERRIFIED of birds this was not ideal! Haha!

That being said, if you’re ever near Tower Hill make sure to pay a visit! You won’t regret it!

In the evening, once returning from our Bloggers Love Fashion Week Event, we headed back to our hostel. We stayed at the Wombats City Hostel and at £22 a night, it was incredible! Not only clean, modern and extremely safe, it also had the most amazing bar downstairs. We headed down to end the evening with a drink and a drool worthy four cheese pizza.

Oh yeah.. did I also mention that Wombats has the most incredible top floor terrace view I’ve ever seen?!? It was BEAUTIFUL!
